Guild Rules Here you will find All The Rules. The reason that's in all-caps is because, if you don't see it here, it's not an official guild rule. The Rules in general are not particularly strict or exacting; they exist more to explain how we handle situations than to tell you what you Must Do. Loot Rules All official Muffin Hunters runs - of any size - are run using the "Group Loot" loot policy, set to green or better. Each member decides for himself what loot to roll on, within the following guidelines:
If the run is a raid of twenty people or more, there will be a designated "Boss Looter." The Boss Looter is to be the first person to loot every boss; if you need to loot a boss directly (for quest drops or whatnot), please wait to do so until after the Boss Looter has looted. The reason for this policy is to prevent bosses from being looted while some members of the raid are dead or not back inside the instance yet. Muffin Hunters does not recognise that anyone has priority over anyone else for any loot whatsoever. If you know another member of the run will get more use out of an item than you will, it is certainly polite to pass it to him. It is not required, however, and no member should ever expect loot to be passed to him. There is no hard limit to the number of drops you may win on any one run. Guests Muffin Hunters is always open to bringing people from other guilds along on runs as long as they agree to follow the Guild Rules. Guests are given exactly the same treatment while on runs as would be any guild member; the Muffin Hunters attitude is that these people are here helping us, and they are entitled to a share in the rewards. Insofar as run signups are concerned, we will take new guests only if the run does not fill with guild members. Long-time regular guests will be treated as guild members in this regard, since, for all intents and purposes, they are. They just have different words under their names. Conduct All Muffin Hunters are expected first and foremost to treat each other with respect. This doesn't mean you can't ever get mad at anybody, it doesn't mean you can't disagree or argue, but it does mean that you are expected to deal with situations in an adult fashion. If you got into a fight with another guildie and said some things you shouldn't have said, come back later after you've cooled off and apologise. If there is friction between guildmates, you are expected to work it out yourselves. If you are frequently causing friction, you should expect to be spoken to. People who make the guild an unpleasant or uncomfortable place for others are not wanted and will be dealt with. During a run, you are welcome (encouraged, even) to fool around and have fun with your guildmates - that's why we're all here. However, there is a time and a place for everything, and you are expected to know when to be quiet. If instructions are being given in /ra about an upcoming boss encounter (for example), there should be no chatter in that channel - you are welcome to carry on conversations in other channels. /g is always available for general chatting. The Final Word The main guiding principle of Muffin Hunters is respect, not rules. We don't (and don't wish to) require very much from our members, because we're here to have fun. The day we start taking this game seriously will be the day Blizzard starts paying us to play it. Until that time, just relax, take it easy, and remember that if you respect your guild mates, they will respect you in return. And that's the kind of guild we want to be. |
